Nice street capture. I like how you utilized the motion blur to create contrast.

Cool. Very interesting that he held still for you. Captures the atmosphere very well.

On second thought, I have to wonder if you haven't used a Photoshop tool to blur the edges since the center background is also not blurred. Effective, but rather dishonest. I think you do yourself a disservice not being honest in your image making. Not everyone would take that view, though.

Thank you for all your comments. In digital, every picture is processed. Then you choose: you process the pictures or the machine (camera) processes the picture for you. I use Photoshop to take full manual control over the entire process of making a photo. In my opinion, since photography is digital, PS and all other image editing software are necessary to give character, meaning and the mood you want to your picture. If you don't use any software you give all this control to the camera. It will apply its contrast, color, and other presets which most of the time will result in a standard, just correct, unpersonal picture. For me, it's a mistake to think that image editing makes pictures to be fake. Pictures are fake since the moment you take them. When taking a shot, you decide which elements will be or not in your picture, you choose aperture to blur the background, some photographers will use polarizers, then everyone crops, and everyone adjusts color and contrast. Where is the limit? There's no limit if you get what you want. Of course, things can be done well or bad. You talk about being honest in image making. In my opinion, there's no way to be more honest than trying to take full control over the image, understanding and using both traditional and modern tools. In this terms, I could think it would be rather dishonest to let the camera to apply its automatic adjustment for you. Thanks again for your comments. All this pictures you like are processed with PS, so I'm glad you only noticed it in one of them and I appreciate you said it. As I said, things can be done well or bad, so I'm sure I could have done it much better. PS is huge and requires a lot of training, I swear I will improve!
